Key is a very well known Japanese graphic novel studio. They're famous for their dramatic and complex plots in dating games, and for the minimal use of ecchi scenes in them. Their first release was Kannon and their second was Air... they sold over a million copies of each and even developed "suitable for all ages" versions for Dreamcast and Play Station 2 consoles.
