Creators & Mangaka>>CLAMP
The CLAMP girls are doubtlessly the queens of Shôjo (manga for girls) in Japan and most of the world. Just so you identify them, I'll name some of their finest works: Rg Veda (their first huge hit in 1989), X, Clover, Magic Knight Rayearth, Whish, Tokyo Babylon and more.
The original group consisted of 7girls and 4 boys, and they did mostly Doujinshi work (profesional Fan Art Comics, that is), but later on they began to create their own mangas and characters. As I mentionned, their first hit was Rg Veda in 1989, and by that time the group was already smaller: it consisted only of 7 girls.
CLAMP kept on changing, and now the group consists of 4 stable female members:
Mokona Apapa: characters designs, backgrounds, composition of the pages and drawings in general. She is the one who followed the CCS anime producers' every move to assure the series turned out perfect (she did a good job, if you ask me).
Nanase Ohkawa: group leader, scripts, covers designs, business and sales.
Mick Nekoi: Mokona's asistant, she goes over the drawings.
Satsuki Igarashi: coordinator, asistant of drawing and design... she is also the cook ^-^
