Chobits takes place in the 22nd century, when mobile technology has gone to the next step: Persocons. Persocons are human-shaped robots which look and feel like real people. Of course, they do whatever their master tells them to do, and they can even be programmed to have certain personality traits. Our main character, Hideki, who knows nothing about Persocons (would like to have one though), comes accross an abbandonned one in the street: Chii, our lovely female lead character.
Chobits is full of questions about what love is, if it's fair or not to give it to someone (or something) different from you and what is the line that devides what's human from what's not. Although Chobits is a very interesting anime, it's maybe not too appealing for the male watcher. Even though the animation is wonderful, there's not much action, and the ecchi scenes are few.
