Yumi works at Yorokonde with Hideki. In the Anime series, her father owns the place, though in the Manga she only works there and has no relationship with the owner. At first she seems to really like Hideki, and she even asks him on a date. But their relationship ends in nothing but friendship... her true love is someone else... Yumi is very cheeful and sweet, but whenever someone talks about persocons she becomes somewhat blue and mysterious.
If you haven't read the Manga or watched the Anime, be ware: spoiler ahead!
The reason for Yumi's sadness is Yumi's supposedly unrequated love: Ueda, the owner of the bakery store. He was formerly married to his own persocon, which "passed away", but now Yumi doesn't think she's good enough for him, since she could never be as pretty or smart as a persocon.
