Created by CLAMP, CCS is one of the most successful and original Shoujo series of all time. When you watch it, you'll notice how basic patterns of the Magical Girls gender are modified. An example of this are the "transformation sequences", wich are replaced by Tomoyo, Sakura's (our main character) best friend. Tomoyo likes designing outfits, and so she makes sure that Sakura has a new look for every episode.
Also, this anime introduces some very adult topycs from 10-year-old Sakura's point of view... this makes this anime suitable for all ages, since children will not realise what's really going on... they'll just see what Sakura sees. Meanwhile, older viewers will catch what's actually happening and have a good laugh.
Romance, friendship, family and magic... CCS sounds like a typical Shoujo anime, but the characters and their circumptsances make it interesting for absolutely eberyone to watch.
