Card Captor Sakura>> Anime vs Manga
Ok, so depending on whether you've watched Card Captors or Card Captor Sakura the differences vary. However, I am going to presume you've watched CCS and not CC, since I will deal with the differences between the two Anime versions in another section.
The first difference we can spot is that the Anime has auto-conclusive episodes (this is not common in Manga), but luckily for all of us, the girls from CLAMP where very present during the addaptation of the scripts, so that the basic story of CCS remained intact. These girls also designed new, original Clow Cards for the Anime series, so while in the Manga Sakura only cptures 19 cards, in the Anime she has to deal with 53. Another curious fact is that, in the Manga, Li Syaoran does not capture any card... That's right: believe it or not, no cards at all for our beloved Li! Another thing: during the Final Judgenment, Sakura creates a new wand with her magical powers. In the Anime series, Kaho Mizuki helps Sakura by using the bell Clow gave her to give Sakura a second chance and free her from the magic of "The Wood", which has turned against her. In the Manga, Kaho hands the bell to Sakura and her new wand is created from the combination of the old wand and the magical bell.
Also, while the Anime series begin with Sakura discovering the Clow Book, Cerberus and the Cards, in the first chapter of the manga Sakura already has caught three cards and the story of how it all began is reveled to us as Sakura remembers. But perhaps the most shocking difference between the CCS Manga and Anime series is that Meiling does not exist in the manga. This character was created by the CLAMP team exclusively for the Anime series... too bad they had not thought of her while they were writing the manga, 'cause personally, I find Meiling to be an extremely funny and amusing character.
There's still one difference I haven't told you about yet: the ending. We all know the ending of the Anime series: Sakura accepts Syaoran's bear (the tradition indicates that this means love between the person who gives and the person who receives the bear), Syaoran leaves Tokyo and Sakura says they'll meet again. The scene is actually pretty cute, but it's nothing compared to the ending of the Manga, in which, three years after the separation I've just descrived (our friends are in high school now), Li comes back from Hong Kong to be with Sakura, since he had promised to return and she had promised to wait for him. It's sooooo sweet!!!! ^-^
